we have

f(x) = |x – 1] + 2

g(x) = -2f(x) + 8

substitute the value of f(x) in g(x)

so

g(x)=2(|x – 1] + 2) +8

g(x)=2|x – 1] + 4 +8

g(x)=2|x – 1] + 12
