Answer:

first we get y on one side by itself.

4x+5y=5

we'll move x to the other side.

4x-4x+5y=5-4x

simplify.

5y=5-4x

now we get rid of the coefficient on y.

5y/5=(5-4x)/5

simplify.

y=5/5-4x/5

y=1- [tex]\frac{4}{5}x[/tex]

The answer is [tex]y=1-\frac{4}{5}x[/tex]
